Local attractions are plentiful, woodland, downland, seaside and city all abound in East Sussex. Just an hour and a quarter from London Bridge station, you can be in the City of London very quickly.  We are conveniently only a few minutes from East Sussex National Golf Club, and other major attractions such as Glyndebourne Opera House, Ashdown Forest, Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Herstmoncuex Castle, the Weald countryside and many others. For traveling in and out of the area and the country we are 35 minutes from Gatwick airport, one hour thirty minutes from Heathrow, and an hour and half from Dover sea port.

At Old Copwood we believe in quality service and aim to make our guests as comfortable as possible. From that first phone call to book us right through to the end of your stay, we want you to be as happy as possible.  Although our home is lovely, we want the welcome you get to be among the best and the breakfast service to be of a standard that you will really enjoy.

We are registered with the Wealden Council as a food outlet and are qualified in Basic Food Hygiene level 2.  We are fully insured both for damages and loss of your belongings so that you (and we) can sleep easy.

We are very happy to arrange taxi and trains and help with directions, bookings and travel arrangements should you require it.  Please ask us for advice.  If you would help with onward travel and accommodation arrangements we will be delighted to help and can often help you benefit from our own experiences of various locations – even one inSouth Africa!

Annie used to have her own catering business and has five star quality service experience

If you visit brings you to us because of work, we will be happy to make your stay as easy as possible after a working day, booking a table at a local Sussex pub should you require.  Uckfield even has a cinema, which is exceptional in its quality for a small town and could be just the relaxation you need after a hard day.

If, however, you just want to relax after your busy day – you are very welcome to ponder in our garden, which although work in progress, is getting better all the time!
